A report on Publicola.net said King County Metro loses about $62,000 each week due to riders not paying fare or paying only partial fare.

A Portland-area nurse has been charged with selling hallucinogenic mushrooms across the street from a local high school, according to The Associated Press. Police found equipment to manufacture the drugs among the man’s possessions.

Raves

Ninjas came to the rescue of a German exchange student who was being mugged in Sydney, Australia, Reuters reported. A teacher in a warrior school saw the attack occurring outside the school and sent the ninjas-in-training to help.

Examiner.com reported Shrek received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this past weekend. He joins other animated characters on the famous stretch of sidewalk, such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Snow White.
