According to Reuters, a Levada Center poll recently reported that 55 percent of Russians believe bribery is the best way to “solve problems.” Many Russians “‘buy’ their driving licenses, bribe police when caught violating traffic rules and pay to ensure that their child can dodge the draft or get a place at the right school.”

The Associated Press reported that an intoxicated Panama City man threw a pot of boiling water on his son.

Raves:

The Episcopal Church has ordained its first openly lesbian bishop, CNN reported. The Reverend Mary Glasspool is only the second female bishop to be consecrated in the Los Angeles diocese’s 114-year history.
