Rants:

According to The Associated Press, for the first time in 60 years, an unknown visitor failed to leave cognac and roses on the grave of Edgar Allan Poe on the writer’s birthday this Tuesday. The reason for the absence of gifts on this 201st anniversary of Poe’s death is unknown.

The AP reported that a South Dakota woman recently set the state record for highest recorded blood-alcohol level, registering a .708 — more than nine times the legal limit. She faces up to two years in jail on drunk-driving charges.

Raves:

A Pennsylvanian man received a bit of a shock when he returned to his house Tuesday to find a burglar cooking chicken and watching TV in his living room, according to the AP. The burglar also cut his hair and took a shower in the man’s home.

Universal Studios has announced plans to open a new, $2.67-billion theme park in Hwaseong, South Korea, The Korea Times reported. The park will open in 2014 and will be bigger than Universal’s four other parks – combined.
