A Tennessee pastor pulled a gun on his own son during church, The Associated Press reported. Pastor Joe Colquitt threatened his 32-year-old son after getting in an argument about the son’s lack of church attendance.

A Florida man, Stephen Sharp, has pled guilty to trying to sell a powdered drink that was guaranteed to make the user pass any drug test. According to the Los Angeles Times, it was sold between 2006 and 2008 as a way for employees, like pilots or truck drivers, to beat federally mandated drug tests. Sharp is now in jail.

Raves:

According to Reuters, a dog was rescued after being stranded on an ice floe in Russia last Wednesday. Jan Joachim, an officer on the boat that rescued the dog, said, “As we got closer to the ice floe, we saw that it was a dog struggling not to fall into the water.” The crew is now looking for the dog’s owners.

According to The Huffington Post, the U.N. World Food Programme has distributed more than 42 metric tons of rice to Haiti for hunger relief. They began distributing the food in 55-pound bags to women, assuming that women are more likely than men to distribute food evenly in their family.
