Queso Fresco Fresh Cheese may be contaminated with Listeria, which can cause serious infections in children and the elderly, according the AP. Cheese with code dates through May 30, 2010, were recalled from retail shelves.
According to Reuters, the Web site WikiLeaks.org released a video Monday documenting an American helicopter shooting and killing two Reuters news employees in a July 2007 attack in Baghdad. An anonymous military official confirmed the video is authentic.
Raves:
Reuters reported that a Japanese cheerleading squad attempts to brighten the moods of fellow citizens, many who are feeling discouraged by the unstable economy, by performing on street corners. The average age of the cheerleaders: 66.
According to The New York Times, the U.S. Labor Department said it’s cracking down on companies who don’t pay interns. Most for-profit companies violate labor codes by not paying their interns, though many only offer unpaid internships.
