Washington’s defeat of Arizona State over the weekend in Tempe, Ariz., was the Huskies’ last conference road game this season. They went 4-5 away from home in the Pac-12, and were one last-second shot by UCLA’s Larry Drew II away from 5-4.
During the course of last season, the Huskies grew by leaps and bounds. After a disappointing start to the year, the Washington men’s basketball team improved enough to win the Pac-12 outright.
Early in Washington’s game against Arizona State last Saturday, Senegalese center Aziz N’Diaye took a nasty shot to the eye. The injury required stitches, forcing N’Diaye to leave the game.
There’s no question about it: The Huskies are reeling. After a surprising 4-0 start to conference play, Washington has dropped three in a row, including two to teams that were previously winless in conference.
