Last week, members of the Associated Students of the UW (ASUW) Homecoming Committee chose this year’s homecoming court. The homecoming king and queen are each awarded a $1,000 scholarship, provided by the UW Alumni Association.
This year’s queen is Shelby Handler, and Bryan Dosono is this year’s king. Louie Tran, Amanda Anderson, Marnie Brown, and Christine Ito will all serve on the homecoming court but won’t receive scholarships.
Student senators also had to reapprove an organic act outlining participation rules for this session. The act was meant to be approved the week before, but there weren’t enough senators present to make quorum.
The next senate meeting will be held Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in Gowen 301, and the next BOD meeting will be held Thursday at 4:30 in the Husky Union Building (HUB) Room 303.
