Business Directories
A themed business directory runs each weekday to better target your customers. Business directory ads feature the lowest rates available, averaging $25 a week, or $250 per quarter. Circulation
The Daily of the University of Washington is the second largest daily in the Seattle area and is read by more UW students than any other daily publication. Student enrollment is around 40,000. There are more than 30,000 faculty and staff members. An average of 10,000 copies of The Daily are printed every day school is in session during the Fall, Winter and Spring quarters. 12,000 copies are printed on the first day of Summer Quarter, then every Wednesday for the rest of the quarter. The Daily is distributed on-campus, on commuter bus routes, and at businesses serving the UW community.
Special Editions
The Daily publishes The Weekender every Thursday. It also prints several themed special editions each quarter. Advertising in special editions may increase readership and allows theme-based audience targeting.» Click for more information

Display Advertising Policies
Deadlines
Space reservations must be received at 10AM three business days before publication. Reservations can be made by phone, email, or fax. For Special Editions space reservations must be received by 10AM one full week before
publication. For Intermission, space reservations must be received by 10AM the Friday prior to publication.
Cancellation Policy
Client will be charged in full for all space reserved unless scheduled ads are cancelled on time either by phone or email.
For regular edition Daily ads, the cancellation deadline is 3 business days in advance at 10AM.
For Special Editions, the cancellation deadline is one week in advance at 10AM.
Payment Policies
All campus ads must be submitted with the name of the responsible party and budget number. All new customers must prepay for the first 10 ads until they can establish a credit account and become a billable customer. Payment options include check, cash, and credit. Checks should be payable to the Daily. We accept both Visa and MasterCard.
Artwork Policy
All artwork must be received, in the correct format, by 10AM three business days before publication. Artwork not received by 10AM will not run as scheduled, but will be billed in full for ad space reserved. For ad creates, all information needs to be submitted seven days prior to publication to ensure
time for adjustments and an ad proof.
For ad changes, all information needs to be submitted five days prior to publication to ensure time
for ad proofs.
Artwork must be the correct size, color, and format. We accept artwork in PDF, EPS, TIFF, and JPEG formats. Artwork NOT in the correct size, color, or format will be returned noting what changes must be made.
Artwork should be submitted by email or be available on disc. Please submit artwork to
ads@thedaily.washington.edu or to your specific advertising representative.
Publishing Policies
All advertising is subject to acceptance by The Daily, which reserves the right to reject copy at its
sole discretion at any time prior to publication.
The Daily will not knowingly publish ads which discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, ancestry, or physical disability.
