A Texas man was charged with stealing more than 400 rolls of toilet paper Friday. According to The Monitor, Rogelio Cervantes stole more than $500 in toiletry supplies from the Hidalgo County Head Start Program. If convicted, Cervantes will face up to two years of jail time.

After heavy amounts of snow dumped on the mid-Atlantic states in recent days, another bout is expected today, according to The Associated Press. Most, if not all, government offices are expected to be closed in Washington, D.C.

Raves:

While Boeing’s new 787 Dreamliner may be getting all the press, the company’s latest incarnation of the 747 — the 747-8 — is ready for its first flight this week. The 747-8 is more aerodynamic and features new avionics technology.

Yesterday marked the 100th anniversary of the founding of Boy Scouts of America. It was founded by Chicago publisher William Boyce, who went to England in 1910 and encountered a similar program there for young boys.
