1. How big of a step back was the Stanford loss for the UW football team?
Christian: Who knows? We’ll have to see how they play against Notre Dame this week to really judge whether they’re going backward or not. Something tells me Steve Sarkisian will make some adjustments.
Maks: Losses are no fun. But on the bright side, at least Jim Mora isn’t coaching this team.
Allen: I don’t want to call it a disaster, but it didn’t look good. The Huskies can’t allow 300 yards on the ground and expect to win. So yeah, they’re going to have to do something about that.
2. What would a volleyball title and another women’s cross country title mean to the school?
Christian: They’d get to sell some more t-shirts, I guess.
Maks: It’d mean a whole lot, especially in the wake of last year’s 0-12 football team and the discontinuation of the swimming programs.
Allen: Maybe a lot for the school, but really nothing to me.
3. What did you think of the Seahawks uniforms on Sunday?
Christian: They looked like the Sounders, so I despised them, and I hope they never wear them again.
Maks: The uniforms are ugly, but so are plaid shorts and the color turquoise. I guess that hasn’t stopped anyone from wearing them, though.
Allen: So neon that you could see them from space.
4. How much do you hate the Sounders?
Christian: More than Mary’s brother hated having his ears touched in There’s Something About Mary.
Maks: Rihanna likes to say, “I hate that I love you.” In my case, I hate that other people can love the Sounders. I guess I’m still just in denial about the Sonics leaving.
Allen: As much as I hate hearing Lady Gaga play on the radio every 10 minutes.
