1. If you’re Nick Holt, would you rather be facing Aaron Corp or Matt Barkley today?
Allen: I’d rather be facing Idaho. Give up 412 yards and still win by 19; who needs a defense?
Christian: I’d rather be facing Charles Barkley. In a closest-to-the-pin competition.
Maks: Marshall Lobbestael.
2. On a scale of one to really, really hard, how hard will you laugh when SMU beats WSU in Pullman today?
Allen: Really, really hard. Then again when they finish the season 0-12.
Christian: Not that hard, mainly because it won’t be an upset. That team is past the point of comical. It’s almost just sad at this point. OK, it’s funny, too.
Maks: There’s nothing funny about the way things are going for Paul Wulff in Pullman, it’s just downright sad. So yeah, really hard.
3. Are you surprised that just under 60,000 tickets had been sold as of Thursday?
Allen: I’m more surprised that 42,912 people went to watch WSU lose to Hawaii. But after an 0-12 season it makes sense, even with a new coach, attitude and a win, that a game against No. 3 USC isn’t a big draw.
Christian: A little bit. But the Sounders are playing at Qwest Field at the same time, which, sadly, may have something to do with it. Aren’t Seattle sports fans great?
Maks: The economy. Garble garble. Economic downturn. Garble garble.
4. What’s funnier: Quinton Richardson reportedly guaranteeing a win in this game, or that photoshopped picture of Chris Polk’s head on Al Bundy’s body?
Allen: Nick Holt’s bald head.
Christian: You’ve got to admit, the Bundy thing is pretty funny. It’s worth wondering, though, how much Polk would be playing if he had ended up going to USC. I don’t know if Trojans fans really need to be that upset about it.
Maks: The fact that the Al Bundy picture got Polk so stirred up is probably the funniest part of it all. Also funny -- Sarkisian saying on his weekly radio show that Richardson’s comments were misinterpreted and that he was just touching on UW’s slogan of “expect to win.’’ Right.
