Swimming

The UW men’s and women’s swim teams hit the road separately today to take on British Columbia and Idaho, respectively. Both teams will face Washington State tomorrow in their final regular season dual meets.

The teams will then take a couple weeks off from competition as they prepare for the Pac-10 Championships and NCAA Tournament.

The women will host the Pac-10 Swimming and Diving Championships at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center Feb. 25-28, and the men will head down to Long Beach, Calif., for the men’s Pac-10 Championships March 4-7.

Senior Scott Spansail recently swam the 1,650-yard freestyle in 14:41.98 to earn an automatic NCAA bid.
