1. Who do you think is going to win the World Series?

Christian: Raul Ibanez will carry the Phillies to their second consecutive title. Yes, that sentence was written.

Maks: Anyone but Boston, please.

Allen: Even though we know A-Rod will choke, the Yankees will win the World Series, beating the likely NL challengers, St. Louis. Good luck, Cardinals. I mean it.

Taylor: Red Sox. After that Twins-Tigers game, I am finally excited for baseball.

2. Only 32,260 came out to watch what could have been Ken Griffey Jr.’s final game as a Mariner on Sunday. The Sounders’ average for home games is just 2,000 or so less than that. Does that surprise you?

Christian: It’s pretty pathetic, but at least none of them were wearing scarves.

Maks: The fact that anyone would go to a Sounders game is surprising in its own right.

Allen: What is Sounders?

Taylor: That’s sad. He’s one of the greatest Mariner players ever and still swings like he’s 22. And who ever said that was his last game? He’s got one year left, no matter what Maks Goldenshteyn says.

3. Do you care about the Seahawks now that their season appears to be over?

Christian: They’re making it really hard. Seneca Wallace and Julius Jones in the same backfield? No thanks.

Maks: It’s hard to care when the announcers broadcast the name “Julius Jones” 15 times a game. This team is pretty awful and they’ll easily lose their next three games.

Allen: I didn’t care about them before the season started. So no, I don’t care. Though I am still trying to figure out how to pronounce T.J. Houshmandzadeh’s name.

Taylor: This question only separates the bandwagoners from the real fans. Of course I do. Watching Seneca run around is starting to annoy me. Matt Hasselbeck needs to come back, ASAP.

4. Who’s going to win the AL Cy Young?

Christian: Zack Greinke looked pretty damn good the only time I saw him pitch in person. He was also facing the Mariners. I’ll go with Felix.

Maks: Jose Paniagua.

Allen: The only reason voters might have reservations about voting for Zack Greinke is because he plays for Kansas City. God, it must suck to play for the Royals.

Taylor: Is Kansas City even a major league team anymore? Probably not, so Zach Grienke shouldn’t win. That only leaves Felix. Hernandez hasn’t lost since Aug. 1. Give it to the M’s ace.
