Pac-10 power rankings

1. USC: As always, the Trojans are back on track after an early-season loss to an unranked team. Matt Barkley does a lot more for that offense than Aaron Corp could.

2. Oregon: Anyone else upset because they didn’t run up the score against WSU?

3. Stanford: It’s not unrealistic that the Cardinal could head into its game against Oregon in four weeks with a 7-1 record — its next three opponents are Oregon State, Arizona and Arizona State.

4. Arizona: Still a bit of an unknown, but the Wildcats picked up a nice win on the road over the Beavers and appear to be coming together nicely after a crucial bye week.

5. Oregon State: Good bounceback win for the Beavers on the road against Arizona State. Their fate is in Sean Canfield’s hands.

6. UCLA: The Bruins just don’t have a very good offense without Kevin Prince, and it wasn’t great to begin with. Back-to-back home games against Oregon and Cal will test their resolve.

7. Washington: That Notre Dame loss is going to sting for a while, but at least it showed that the Huskies are still on their way back. The Arizona game this weekend is an absolute must-win.

8. California: A forgettable couple of weeks for Jeff Tedford’s squad. The Bears have a chance to rebound with a road trip to UCLA and a breather at home against Washington State. Only one of those looks like a lock, though.

9. Arizona State: A pretty weak loss to Oregon State shows that the Sun Devils are maybe a little soft this year. They’ll move back above .500 with a win over the Cougars this week, though.

10. Washington State: Bad.
