According to U.S. News & World Report, a new study shows that youth who take drugs for psychiatric problems often gain weight due to elevated LDL cholesterol and triglycerides in their blood.

According to MSNBC, two rods and a 5,000-pound crossbeam fell off the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and into traffic. Three cars were damaged, and one person had minor injuries.

Raves:

NASA launched the Ares I-X, a prototype of their next generation Arex I rocket, from the Kennedy Space Center yesterday. Other than weather-related delays, the test launch went as planned, according to The New York Times.

According to Reuters, a solar car made by students at Tokai University in Japan won the 1,900-mile Global Green Challenge in Australia. The team faced a flat tire during the race, but fixed it and won the biannual challenge.
