Battle Royale

1. Chiefs running back Larry Johnson reportedly made some gay slurs on his Twitter page recently. How stupid is he?

Christian: Pretty stupid. He and Ann Coulter should hang out.

Maks: Tim Hardaway stupid.

Allen: Stupid enough to be playing for the Chiefs.

Zachary: LJ’s been stuck behind an awful line in Kansas City for too long, but that doesn’t excuse his actions. If he wants to force a trade, he should just pull a Braylon Edwards and deck a member of Zack Greinke’s posse.

2. Should coaches be getting reprimanded for criticizing officiating, even if the officiating sucks?

Christian: No. What’s the point of that? Instead, bad officials should be paraded through town in women’s clothing, and the coaches who criticize them should receive bonuses.

Maks: Yes, unless that coach is named Pini Gershon.

Allen: Heck no! Officials need to hear complaints. They need to be checked and balanced. If there are problems with calls, they need to know.

Zachary: No. In fact, I think coaches should be rewarded for doing the leagues’ work for them. Anyone remember Mark Cuban’s tape of all the botched calls against his Mavs spliced together? It was like a Benny Hill blooper reel.

3. What’s the scariest sports-related Halloween costume you can think of?

Christian: A psychotic, 22-year-old pug dog. Or Steve Phillips’ secret ESPN fling.

Maks: Russian heavyweight boxer Nikolai Valuev, complete with a bunch of back hair.

Allen: Sam Cassell.

Zachary: Al Davis. It’d double as a costume of the pale man from Pan’s Labyrinth.

4. Mark McGwire is back with the Cardinals as a hitting coach. How long before everyone’s biceps triple in size?

Christian: I’m not here to talk about the Cardinals’ biceps.

Maks: Almost as quickly as players would start soliciting transvestite prostitutes if Eddie Murphy took over as a coach of any sort.

Allen: How long after Chuck Knoblauch becomes a fielding coach that his players can’t make accurate throws? So yeah, not long.

Zachary: I just can’t wait until McGwire criticizes Chris Young’s .212 average this season, and Young’s response is, “I’m not here to talk about the past.”

You guys actually managed to make it an entire "Royale" without dumping on the Sounders.

Unbelievable.

Of course, Christian had to bring politics into sports (who doesn't love that??) with his whole Ann Coulter dig, so you all still collectively fail.
