1. USC: Annual victory over Notre Dame up next for the Trojans. Two more weeks until they decide the Pac-10 title against Oregon on Oct. 31.
2. Oregon: Ducks get a bye week to gear up for a game against Washington Oct. 24 — a game that will actually have postseason implications, for once.
3. Oregon State: Looks like the slow-starting Beavers are finding their way quite nicely now. That beat-down of Stanford was completely unexpected.
4. Stanford: Obviously a disappointing weekend for the Cardinal after losing to OSU. No time to dwell on that, though, as an angry Arizona team awaits them in Tucson this week.
5. Washington: The numbers still aren’t great, and the Huskies have some serious issues on defense. But did anybody think they would be 3-3 midway through the season? Yet another season-turning game at Arizona State this week. A win puts them in serious bowl-game contention.
6. Arizona: Delashaun Dean says the ball that Mason Foster returned for a touchdown hit the ground. So? Maybe if the Wildcats hadn’t been passing the ball with a five-point lead and 2:47 left in the game, they wouldn’t have been put in that kind of situation.
7. Arizona State: Sun Devils are probably looking at this week’s game against the Huskies as a good way to put themselves in position to make a run at third or fourth place in the conference. And their awful offensive line might look a little better this week, given UW’s lack of pass rush all year.
8. California: Much-needed bye week for the Bears sets up what amounts to a must-win at UCLA this week. Then, a breather against WSU.
9. UCLA: Bruins offense just doesn’t look good enough to beat anybody right now, even with the return of Kevin Prince. Well, maybe there’s one team they could beat …
10. Washington State: Bad.

Maybe one day you'll actually take the time to analyze a team that may be awful, but still has beaten you 5 of the last 6 years. It may be that Husky ideal of thinking you are better than you really are that keeps you from writing anything about your cross-state rival other than "bad."
