China’s coal reserves are down to 12 days, due to rising energy needs.

American intelligence officials testified to Congress yesterday that North Korea has assisted Syria with the construction of a “nuclear facility.” That was preemptively destroyed by Israeli warplanes last September.

Raves -

Congress will soon vote on the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act, a law that will make it illegal for employers to deny jobs and health care based on a person’s likelihood of developing a disease in the future.

At a U.S. Senate hearing Wednesday. Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte said that the Chinese government should stop vilifying the Dalai Lama and instead focus on a much more open dialogue with him.
