A stabbing occurred around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday morning near the intersection of University Way Northeast and Northeast 52nd Street.
Police estimate about 10 men were involved in the brawl, Jamieson said.
“All the men were intoxicated and it is unknown what intiated the disturbance,” said SPD spokesperson Renee Witt.
The suspects in the fight were all male, some Somali and some white, she said. One suspect has been described as a male in his twenties, with a thin build and wearing an orange colored sweatshirt, black shirt and shorts.
Witt said that the disturbance began as a fight. Then, one man pulled a knife and stabbed another man. The victim, a 28-year-old male, was treated on the scene and then taken to Harborview Medical Center. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, Witt said.
Another man involved in the fight pulled out a gun, but stopped short of firing any shots, according to police.
No arrests been made and the investigation is ongoing, Jamieson said.
