For the first time in U.S. history, more than one of every 100 adults is in jail or prison, according to a report released by the Pew Center on the States. The United States now leads the world in incarceration rates.
Two dogs, a pitbull and Rottweiler, attacked — and flattened — a mail carrier’s tires, trapping her in her vehicle for hours. When the police arrived, the pups tried to deflate the cruiser’s tires as well. The dogs’ owner blamed the attack on a tire toy the dogs had.

A girl used her head — and her cell phone — when a man tried to lure her into his car. The 15-year-old took a picture of his license plate with her camera phone. The 44-year-old Kent, Wash., man was arrested on Wednesday.
The Northwest African American Museum is set to open in Seattle March 8 after being in the works since the 1980s.

Rottweilers were trained by the Romans to guard cattle and by the Germans to chew the tracks of T-34 Russian tanks.
Like all good kraut NCOs, they perform at their best with a squad of colleagues even dumber than they are, pitbulls make ideal sturmhundwaffen.
