A Beijing woman deliberately burned her husband alive by lighting their bed on fire while he was drunk. The reason behind the murder was a pair of dirty feet — the husband had climbed into bed without properly washing his feet.
Geraldine Ferraro, a member of Hillary Clinton’s finance committee, said Clinton’s rival, Barack Obama, was leading in the polls because of his race. She resigned from Clinton’s staff in the ensuing controversy.

King County animal shelters reduced the euthanasia rate of cats and dogs in county animal shelters. Workers at shelters euthanized about 18 percent of dogs and cats in their shelters during the first two months of 2008, compared to 34 percent in the same time period last year.

I found out the City of Seattle is logging five healthy evergreens in the Arboretum to build a bathroom facility for the Japanese Garden. Why are they cutting down these trees when there is open space 100 feet away from them in the park?
