A memorial service will be held today for In Soo Chun, the former UW staff member who lit himself on fire Oct. 30 and later died at Harborview Medical Center.

Chun worked as a custodian at the UW for nearly three years before he was let go from his position in August 2008.

According to a UW press release, Chun was advised to attend counseling through the UW’s employee assistance program, CareLink, but did not avail himself of the assistance.

The service will be held in the Walker Ames room in Kane Hall at 11:30 a.m.
