I'm not the crazy book lady

My name is Barbara, and I am the booklady in Ocean Shores. A customer told me that she researched Harley Weekend at Ocean Shores online and found out about my bookstore in the July 25 article "From beaches to Harleys," ... so I web-searched and found the article.

I really appreciated the fact that you mentioned me, as free advertisement is wonderful — and it brought me at least one new customer. I was concerned, however, that you called me "the crazy booklady."

I am not crazy — that I am aware of — and I hope I didn't leave you with that impression, although I guess I must have done so. None of my signs on the road say "crazy booklady next left" as your article states. "Crazy booklady" doesn't appear on any of my signs, nor do they say next left, as it is right turns to my store.

I am not angry. But I am a little hurt that people now think the booklady in Ocean Shores is crazy.

By the way: We are moving the store into Aberdeen at the end of August.

Booklady of Illahee

Ocean Shores, WAsh.
