CAPITOL HILL: Vivace

Share

If during your exploration of Capitol Hill you find yourself on the corner of Denny and Broadway, hop into Vivace Café for a fun and unique coffee experience.

Meaning “lively” in Italian, you’ll notice this when the specially trained barista pours not just your morning treat, but art. With an artisan-like technique, the skilled hands of the baristas at Vivace pour the steamed milk into the espresso shots in such a way that beautifully crafted designs are formed. Resembling a tree, a feather, a leaf, or whatever the imagination can conjure, each drink is as different and unique as the one before it, like a fingerprint.

If you’re not looking for art in your coffee, the drinks are still delicious. Not only do they roast their own beans in the café, they also make it extra special with an orange zest, a sprinkle of nutmeg, or both. Tully’s or Starbucks baristas don’t often put this much artisanship and uniqueness into a something as simple and looked over as morning coffee.
