QUEEN ANNE: Scoops Hand Dipped Ice-Cream

With a good variety of quality ice-cream flavors, Scoops is a rather inexpensive and delectable detour from the din of Queen Anne Avenue. Sure, the ice cream is a product of Dreyer's, but the quality rivals any Baskin Robins' 31 Flavors, and the price is a good deal better than the Dreyer's place in Seattle Center. A three-scoop order costs a little more than $3 and is more than enough for three people to split among each other. The bubble gum ice-cream screams excellence and blends well with a scoop of the cotton candy flavor. The pralines and cream is a winner but, hands down, the best flavor in the joint is the rocky road, loaded with plenty of those delectable miniature marshmallows.

The great thing about Scoops isn't the type of ice-cream they're serving. Dreyer's is standard, and can be bought at almost any grocery store. The catch is, the ice cream they serve seems to be prepared within the establishment, and it is served in homemade waffle cones. The place smells amazing, and the staff are amiable and energetic.

Does anyone know who "invented" bubble gum ice cream? I'm dying to know more info as it is my favorite flavor
