With high ceilings that expose its beams, brick walls and big windows, the Zeitgeist coffeehouse feels more like an inviting and airy meeting place than a die-cut corporate coffee shop. Zeitgeist Coffee is an independent business that strives to present a place for the community.
"I always feel welcomed in. I never feel crammed and suffocated by other customers," said Andrew Crossen, a regular to the shop.
Aside from its great coffee, the house serves a delicious selection of sandwiches and pastries, popular among the business folks in the area. Barista Misty Nickle recommends the pesto sandwich or the berry oat bar, which she buys every day.
Zeitgeist Coffee also feels strongly about its commitment to the arts. Each month they show the works of emerging and established artists.
The place is packed on weekdays with the lunch hour crowd. Try it on a Sunday with a good book.
