As we move slowly toward the spring season, leopard print has exploded into full force. Last year, leopard print shoes were the hot item, but now it has appeared on everything from lingerie to cardigans, and accessories of every type.
However, the thing about leopard print is that while stylish, even the slightest mismatch can make it go deadly wrong.
Leopard print should be worn in moderation and paired with a simple outfit. For example, a leopard print top should be paired with another plain layer and jeans or a plain pair of pants or skirt. In order to keep the outfit tasteful, everything needs to be fairly conservative.
Remember, the key is not to resemble a leopard in a crowd of people.
Most leopard print is brown, tan and sometimes black. Some are black and white print. There are a few options color-wise.
Brown always looks good with the brown and tan combination print. If black is in the print, black will work as well. Another great choice for spring is to pair the print with bright colors. For example, pair a pair of leopard print pumps with a blue dress.
If you are worried leopard print is a little too loud for your taste, try an item in a softer style. The cardigan is conservative, yet the print keeps it fun. It is also a great way to convert leopard print into an everyday option. Leopard print ballet flats keep the style ultra-feminine.
Another choice is to keep it in the accessories, such as a headband or purse.
Below are some great choices for leopard print. Remember, try one at a time.
