Staff Editorial : Could-be presidential possibilities

With presidential candidacy announcements coming at us left and right, we members of The Daily's editorial board thought we would make a few candidate suggestions ourselves. Below, you'll find our top choices for presidential nomination along with suggested running mates.

Jane Fonda and Cindy Sheehan

— Well, at least we'd never be mired in an endless war in Iraq with these two at the helm.

Colin Powell and John McCain

— Or, going the other direction, maybe these two military veterans could actually win a war in Iraq.

Dan Quayle and Norm Arkans

— UW President Mark Emmert's right-hand man would make sure Quayle never says anything like "It's wonderful to be here in the great state of Chicago" ever again.

Oprah Winfrey and Condoleezza Rice

— The impossible-to-beat ticket would capture the votes of women, blacks, liberals and conservatives.

Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky

— The Clinton ticket that would blow all other nominees out of the water.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver

— The Kennedy family returns to the White House with a big twist.
