Each week, this column will highlight one article each of women's and men's fashion, offering tips to put together multiple outfits.
Women's
Empire Jumper Dress- Junior's Department of Nordstrom, $52
This tank-strap jumper dress is the perfect winter day time dress. The dress comes in black and grey and can be layered with many options. It can be worn with a plain long-sleeve top and patterned hosiery. Some great options for hosiery would be argyle and knit pointelle. Other options include a patterned top, a turtleneck or a collared shirt. Make sure the top is not solid black. Both should be worn with plain hosiery. This jumper can be worn with pumps or flats in a neutral color. Finally, remember to pair it with a jacket of the same length.
Men's
Pure Stuff Argyle Sweater- Nordstrom, $45
The argyle sweater is a classic that is always appropriate and always preppy. Argyle can be made casual or dressy. For a casual look, pair the sweater with a plain crewneck shirt underneath and jeans or khakis. If you are looking to go ultra-preppy, try a collared shirt. To dress it up for work, the sweater can be paired with slacks. Any jacket from a fleece to a blazer to a peacoat would look great.
